An Elegant Mansion at Natirar Wedding in Early Spring
I had so much fun photographing this elegant early spring Mansion at Natirar wedding with Siming and Andrew. This lovely couple met by chance — or maybe fate! Luckily, Siming attended a friend’s work cocktail party and met Andrew. Andrew worked at the same firm, but he and Siming’s friend didn’t know each other but the two hit it off. Their wedding celebration had it all: artful decor, delicate, romantic details, homage to Siming’s Chinese heritage, and plenty of florals, perfect for that time of year.
Inspiration from the Mansion
When Siming and Andrew visited the Mansion at Natirar for the first time it was under a complete renovation, but they saw it’s vision. Similarly to how they’d fallen for each other, they began planning their Mansion at Natirar wedding and drew inspiration from this classic country mansion. The space didn’t need much because it was so gorgeous already, including a “living wall”, they added sweet mercury glass votives and centerpieces similar to her bouquet, of white, blush and a dusty sage.
Sealed with a Kiss
Besides drawing much of their inspiration from Natirar itself, Siming and Andrew’s wedding day had several personal touches from Siming’s Chinese heritage. There was a red wax Chinese seal on the stationery, a red box of chopsticks at each place setting as the couples favor to their guests, and Siming wore red designer shoes. Siming wore a white wedding gown for much of the day, but then changed into a lovely traditional red Chinese qipao shortly after her first dance. All in all, the day met the couple’s vision for their special day: romantic, soft, and glowing.
