Eve and Eric’s Bowery Hotel Wedding
I think I got lucky with Eve and Eric’s Bowery Hotel wedding. First of all, when we first spoke about her wedding photography, we hit it off. Most notably, they were looking for a photographer to catch things as they happen. Artful yet candid is exactly our style. Eve’s sister, her best friend and maid of honor was the sweetest. She sent Eve my name and here’s the gorgeous results! The vendors, under the expert coordination of Sarah from Daughters of Design pulled together an elegant modern day. Sarah did a great job creating an atmosphere which was creative and energetic, much like the Lower East Side neighborhood where the iconic hotel is nestled.
Busting with Love and Personality
After their first look, we walked through the streets of the LES for bridal portraits. Rather than having to wait until after the ceremony and rushing back to guests, we had time to be creative. Therefore, I usually recommend a first look. Additionally, the softness of Eve’s classic look was a fun contrast to the gritty, urban backdrop in some of these. I also love by the mural of the Ramones. That was the grooms idea. We finished up on the outdoor patio. These are some of my favorites from the wedding… golden hour portraits of the couple, family photos and a stunning photo of Eve, Eric, and all the kids! Next was the traditional Jewish ceremony underneath a gorgeous chuppah by Sprout Home. Finally, guests laughed, smiled, danced, and drank long into the night. It was a lively celebration of a lovely couple in the city that never sleeps.
