Hanna and Jacob’s Onteora Mountain House Wedding
Traditions, From Sweden With Love
The flowers they chose had bursts of bright, soft color. Other details included an assortment of brass candlesticks with tapered candles and a bluegrass band. With a few Swedish traditions thrown in, the setting was complete. The bride’s father made jelly from Lingonberries from his yard in Sweden as favors. Weeks earlier, the couple buried a bottle of Bourbon at the inn to unearth on their wedding day and share it with the bridal party. What was most important to Hanna and Jacob was to share their happiness with their friends and families on their wedding day in a beautiful setting. Finally, the toasts continued into the evening and included singing Swedish folk songs with childhood friends and family singing along.
