Marisa and Josh’s Rehearsal Dinner
I have a thing for old mansions, they’re mysterious and seeped in history and stories of fortunes, privilege and glamour. The Marble House, in Newport, RI, is no exception and it may even take the cake! It was designed by the society architect Richard Morris Hunt as a summer cottage for the Vanderbilt’s and is an exceptional example of a Gilded Age mansion.
Marisa and Josh’s rehearsal dinner was deffinetly over the top, gorgeous and fun! A live “marble” statue greeted guests and made her name “sake” make so much more sense. There were “Marble” cakes, a Champagne Tower, a live painter, a Chinese Dragon and an opera singer! Wow! The florists choice of deep purple blooms, made the flowers pop against the gold and black background of the Gold Room where dinner was held.
It was an amazing evening and the perfect start to their wedding day!
