A Lovely Place For A Wedding
Jin and Christopher’s Bridgeview Yacht Club wedding was on Mother’s Day. It fell on a lovely sunny Sunday in May this year. The beach, surrounding town of Island Park, NY, and the golden evening sunlight created wedding photography material. Moreover, we took full advantage of the docks as a setting, being at the yacht club! Finally, there was also a funky ferris wheel nearby, and cobblestone streets. Locations that offer something unique like that are a surprising delight. Seems like they always make for pictures that you’ll remember for a lifetime.
A Tender Salute
Christopher served in Iraq and Afghanistan. Therefore, the wedding served as an emotional reunion for him and his fellow service members. Most noteworthy, the military sent an honorable saber arch as a ceremonial send-off after the traditional church ceremony. Furthermore, the saber arch tradition is very old and present in many cultures so it was like photographing a timeless moment. It’s a very touching way for a soldier and their new spouse to be honored by the armed forces they serve. Since it’s all happening so fast, I’m honored my clients trust me to capture moments like these. The photographs were shot with a mix of film and digital cameras. Enjoy!
