A Central Park Engagement Stroll
I’m so excited to share Siming and Andrew’s Central Park Engagement portraits. If you’d like to go for a stroll through Central Park, there’s a sweet spot created just for this called The Mall. Lined with trees, it runs right through the middle of the Park from 66th to 72nd Street. This walkway leads to the beautiful Bethesda Terrace and Fountain. To the right there’s a bandstand. To the left is a sweet cityscape with a little protected area of gorgeous old Elm trees. In the summer, it’s bustling with life, and very romantic.
Posh Summer Casual
A lot of times before a session like this, I get asked by brides and grooms to be what to wear. I do provide some information to all of my couples to make the photos the best they can be. But here’s some sage style advice: you can’t go wrong with the classics. Siming and Andrew did a great job with this in their palette of navy, blue, and black; Siming’s pearls, nude pumps. and bright, oversized handbag are the perfect accessories. Hair and makeup is the same — less is more!
Celebrating in the Springtime
Siming and Andrew are getting married in the spring, and asked me to capture them strolling through their favorite spot in Central Park. The tree and bench lined path along the Mall makes for a classic New York moment while the architecture near the Fountain creates a different sort of elegant backdrop. They are totally in love and completely at ease with one another, and it shows in the photos. It’s always exciting when a location has so much variety. I’m looking forward to the spring and shooting their wedding!
